This restaurant has gone downhill. We were a party of four and found the food sub par. I had short ribs from the special list and was surprised to receive small pork bones that were all fat. I returned the plate and was told they could do nothing. They lost four customers.

Pleasantly surprised by Shandong Noodle House. The waiters are really nice. The interior could use a small makeover but it's not bad. They have various options for vegetarians. I ordered the vegetable soup with egg noodles and it was great.. The vegetables and tofu soup was great also. This has become my new favorite place to eat.

We have been here a few time and love the place. It is small and the wait staff is inexperienced. do not expect noodles and sauces on your table. This is not your typical Cantoese or Sechuwan place. The Shrimp Balls are excellent and the dumplings are the best in town. The main courses such as the Pan Fried Noodles with chicken are superior as is the Chicken with Walnuts. I also liked the Dry Braised Shrimp. It is, by far, the best Chinese place in town!

Awesome service! If you're ever in Vero Beach you have to come here. We came up from Miami for a staycation and we happened to stumble on this place, just wow. Everything is homemade and fantastic! The noodle selection is vast and delicious. Come with an empty stomach, staff is so attentive and wonderful!

I spent a year in China and ever since I've moved home I've been looking for a legit Chinese restaurant. I've found it here. Food is amazing and reasonably priced. Real dumplings made by hand by the owners Mom in the back. Delicious soup. They still have more American Chinese food as well. Sweet and sour chicken, fried rice, etc.

Get the congee!!! Pleasant atmosphere and amazing food. If you want to go to a restaurant where the flavored explode, then look no further than, Shandong Noodle House.

Had the General Tso chicken. This for me is the best I have add anywhere else and I tried many. The Russian soup always hot and perfect. I will be coming back again and again.

I have to say, that this is some of the best Chinese, in Vero. They take pride in how they prepare/present the food and it shows. They stand out, against the landscape of bland and in some cases strange tasting Chinese, in this state. For my first visit in, I decided to go for steamed pork dumplings and a pork with rice noodle soup, while I realize that these dishes aren't hard to do right, they're also easy to mess up and the kitchen staff did a great job. The service was as good as it could be, considering how many hats, the servers had to wear. The girl I got, was also the hostess, the expediter, the phone-order taker and the cashier. Despite how busy she was, she did a great job and managed to joke/smile through it all. Honestly, I'd have given this place a 5-star rating, if the management had a devoted hostess/cashier/expediter and didn't make the waitstaff split their attention, between so many tasks. All things considered though, I'd definitely recommend this place and it will probably become a staple, for me

If you are doing a week-long vacation to Vero beach, this place is worth checking out at some point during your stay. The lunch specials are well priced, but there also is a "family dinner" special for $27 that includes one rice/noodle, one dumpling/soup, and 2 entrees (from 20 choices). Nice to have some leftovers for lunch the next day. All the mains are what you would expect - nothing extraordinary or strange. On my 2 visits the one thing I wasn't very impressed by was the dumplings (would go with soup next time). Also, given the name "noodle house" I'd like to try a noodle dish like the chow fun next time.

Free parking, no waiting for lunch. Atmosphere ( quiet not noisy), and booths are comfortable. Waitstaff is slow because they have explain all the items on the menu to each customer. The restaurant needs new menus with better dish descriptions.. Example: lunch special Shrimp chow Fun Noodle is suggested no where on the menu does it explain what this is. The waitress had to explain the noodle size, shape, and what is included with this dish.. No wonder people/customers complain about the wait. We ordered Shrimp chow fun noodle lunch special with Chinese Russian soup it was amazing!

Great place to have a great Chinese meal. I recommend the chow fun noodles. Home made. Great service and wonderful food!

My husband and I have enjoyed each time we have eater here but we prefer lunch vs. dinner cost wise. Food is always fresh and delicious and service is friendly if a bit slow. I have purchased won ton soup as a take out for my mother and she prefers Peking's (Ft. Pierce) soup. As of last visit, they finally have hot tea!! :)

When this place opened, not too long ago, it was the best in Vero. It has since deteriorated dramatically. The sauces and generally every item on the menu has lost that real New York flavor. The food tends to be very lacking in flavor. When asked for spicy, it was NOT. We are so disappointed in Shandong. When one of our dishes was returned, we were not treated kindly.
